In most cases, same day service on bow repairs will not be possible as there will be others ahead of you in the workshop queue waiting their turn. But we want to get you back shooting so we’ll be as quick as we can. We’ll let you know when your bow will be good to go when you book it in for repairs.

Bow set-up…

A bow set up properly is a joy to shoot and along with that comes the accuracy – the whole point of getting it right and sorted in the first place. If your bow isn’t set up right, shooting it is always a struggle, like you are running in wet jeans – you can’t hit much and it never “feels right”. When you buy a bow from us, the set-up time we spend getting your new bow squared away won’t cost you a sausage. That’s all part of making sure you’re good to go when you head out the door. We’re more than happy to do bow set-up, bought from us or not. And setting up a bow correctly is not about bolting on the accessories either. That’s the easy bit. Tying in a peep right, nailing your bow sight windage, arrow rest/power path alignment, activator cord timing, D-loop work, cam lean etc, that’s where our experience kicks in. It takes time and experience and we’re up for all that. We’re proud of the following and our bow set-up reputation we’ve gained – but it’s all part of looking after you and getting you hitting the spot arrow after arrow.

We stock Winners Choice, Zebra Hybrid and Mathews Genuine bowstrings for all the bow models we sell and have sold in the past. We also stock a few of the more common bow string lengths for other bows plus we have plenty of recurve strings in stock too.

Follow these 3 shooting habits we teach anyone buying their first bow in our Perth archery shop and chances are you won’t need workshop time for your bow any time soon…

Rule #1: Never let anyone touch your bow. Rule #1 means it’s only your own shooting habits you need to get squared away. If nobody touches your bow, then nobody can draw it back and dryfire or de-rail it… which is right where Rule #2 comes in…

Rule #2: Draw your bow back with an arrow on the string and only with your release aid. Never draw a bow with your fingers as todays modern compound is engineered to be drawn only with a release aid and it’s impossible to derail a bow this way. The arrow on the string bit? Well you can’t dryfire a bow if you trigger your release by ‘accident’ if there’s an arrow on the string… which is right where Rule #3 comes in…

Rule #3: Finger hard behind your trigger at all times! And keep it there until you are about to shoot. There is no such thing as an accidental firing of a release aid. It’s operator error. It’s like arguing a car is unsafe because there’s a rubbish driver at the wheel. You’re the operator and if your finger is hard behind the trigger at all times there can be no ‘errors’.

Need work done on your bow?

A wide range of maintenance and repair jobs are carried out daily in our workshop. We’ll let you know how long your particular job will take and what parts will be needed/used etc before we book you bow in. If we can fix your bow there and then we will. But in most cases plan on doing the drop off and we’ll contact you as soon as it’s ready for pick up.
